CONSIDERACIONES ACERCA DEL FLYBOARD COMO DISCIPLINA TURÍSTICO-DEPORTIVA EN LA FORMACIÓN ACADÉMICA DEL PROFESIONAL EN TURISMO

RESUMEN El propósito del artículo es analizar la importancia del Flyboard como actividad turística y deportiva, y su inclusión en el pensum de estudios de la carrera de Turismo en la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (ULEAM). Se parte de la premisa que el turismo es una actividad que requiere estrategias renovadas para impulsar flujos de visitantes a determinados lugares, especialmente a aquellos que por varios motivos no han alcanzado altos niveles de crecimiento en materia turística, entre otras razones, por no disponer de atractivos novedosos. Para abordar el análisis se consultaron fuentes bibliográficas especializadas en el tema, de tal forma que los planteamientos se sustentan en información reciente y confiable. Es importante destacar que en el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje el docente aporta al desarrollo y crecimiento del estudiante y promueve nuevas modalidades para fortalecer la economía por medio del turismo, fundamentalmente con la implementación de propuestas deportivas orientadas a la recreación. Es así como por medio de la educación las universidades forman profesionales capaces de promo-comercializar el turismo en sus diferentes manifestaciones, en particular el turismo de playa fundamentado en el Flyboard, y complementado con otros deportes acuáticos innovadores que estimulan la concurrencia de visitantes desde distintas latitudes. Finalmente debe señalarse que Ecuador afronta un desafío que le obliga a consolidar las bases de su economía a partir del turismo, lo cual es posible con la participación efectiva de la educación y la formación de profesionales capaces de desenvolverse con éxito en las competencias que esta actividad involucra. CONSIDERATIONS ABOUT THE FLYBOARD AS A TOURIST-SPORTS DISCIPLINE IN THE ACADEMIC TRAINING OF THE PROFESSIONAL IN TOURISM ABSTRACT The purpose of the article is to analyze the importance of the Flyboard as a tourist and sports activity, and its inclusion in the studies curriculum of the Tourism career at the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University (ULEAM). It is based on the premise that tourism is an activity that requires renewed strategies to boost flows of visitors to certain places, especially those who for various reasons have not reached high levels of growth in tourism, among other reasons, for not having novel attractions. To approach the analysis, bibliographic sources specialized in the subject were consulted, in such a way that the proposals are based on recent and reliable information. It is important to emphasize that in the teaching-learning process the teacher contributes to the student's development and growth and promotes new modalities to strengthen the economy through tourism, fundamentally with the implementation of sports proposals aimed at recreation. Thus, through education, universities train professionals capable of promoting and marketing tourism in its different manifestations, in particular beach tourism based on the Flyboard, and supplemented with other innovative water sports that stimulate the attendance of visitors from different Latitudes Finally, it should be noted that Ecuador faces a challenge that forces it to consolidate the foundations of its economy based on tourism, which is possible with the effective participation of education and the training of professionals capable of successfully developing the skills that this activity it involves. La Teledetección como instrumento para el análisis glaciar en ambientes de alta montaña tropical ecuatoriana

Global warming is a climatic phenomenon with affects of different nature on a global scale. One of its effects is the increase in the atmospheric temperature, which directly affects the melting of the ice masses that make up the glaciers, especially in the high tropical mountain. In this context, the present study aims to identify and analyze the temporal changes that have presented three glaciers located in the Ecuadorian Andes. To develop the study, Geographic Information Systems software and a set of satellite images of different dates were used to obtain data through the application of the Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI). As a result it was found that the glaciers presented a significant decline and decrease in surface area, contracting significantly towards sectors of higher elevation.El calentamiento global es un fenómeno climático con afectaciones de distinta naturaleza a escala mundial. Uno de sus efectos es el aumento de la temperatura atmosférica, el cual incide de manera directa en el derretimiento de las masas de hielo que conforman los glaciares, especialmente en la alta montaña tropical. En ese contexto, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo identificar y analizar los cambios temporales que han presentado tres glaciares ubicados en los Andes Ecuatorianos. Para desarrollar el estudio se utilizó un software de Sistemas de Información Geográfica y un conjunto de imágenes satelitales de diferentes fechas que permitieron obtener datos a través de la aplicación del Índice de Nieve de Diferencia Normalizada (NDSI). Como resultado se encontró que los glaciares presentaron un importante retroceso y disminución en términos de superficie, contrayéndose de manera significativa hacia sectores de mayor elevación

CHALLENGES OF MANAGEMENT IN THE FRAMEWORK OF GLOBALIZATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT   RESUMEN La sustentabilidad asociada al reconocimiento de las potencialidades de los recursos naturales en relación a los requerimientos de las sociedades y perspectivas de la humanidad, requiere de una visión de conjunto, en los cuales la cultura, los avances tecnológicos, la implementación de políticas públicas, el rescate de los valores éticos y morales, de las creencias y saberes, son el punto focal en el que se pueden conjugar esfuerzos para el uso adecuado de los recursos naturales, la sobrevivencia del hombre y en definitiva la preservación del planeta. En tal sentido, el presente ensayo pretende hacer una revisión de la problemática del desarrollo y la sustentabilidad en el mundo globalizado y el rol que juega la gerencia y la tecnología en todo este asunto. De allí el proceso de influencia de la globalización en la sustentabilidad del desarrollo mundial y la función que ejerce la gerencia en este aspecto, particularmente en el contexto latinoamericano. ABSTRACT Sustainability associated with the recognition of the potential of natural resources in relation to the requirements of societies and perspectives of humanity, requires an overall vision, in which culture, technological advances, the implementation of public policies, Rescue of ethical and moral values, beliefs and knowledge, are the focal point in which efforts can be combined for the proper use of natural resources, the survival of man and ultimately the preservation of the planet. In this regard, this essay aims to review the problems of development and sustainability in the globalized world and the role played by management and technology in this issue. Hence the process of influence of globalization on the sustainability of global development and the role that management plays in this aspect, particularly in the Latin American context.
